"I'd like to thank you for the spectacular artistry you brought to the
sculptural twig work produced for Copia. Your beautifully crafted element provides
an important focal point for the Museum's main atrium gallery and I am
greatly in your debt for bringing such integrity and detailed attention to our
design work. Working with you over the years has always been one of the high
points of a project and I can hardly wait to work with you again."

"We were so blessed and delighted to find Monte and Monique. Monte's whimsical willow creations combined with Monique's exquisite floral arrangements and bouquets created the most perfect look for our wedding. They were so easy to work with, and dedicated to making our most important moment in our lives a forever-lasting impression in our hearts. All of our friends that attended told us it was the most unique, beautiful wedding they had ever attended. It would not have been the same without Monte's arches, gazebos, fencing, and furniture settings combined with Monique's amazing floral designs."

"Womad festivals are an experience to be treasured. The atmosphere is like nothing I have seen or experienced before. We have been so overwhelmed and impressed by the beauty and elegance created by the use of Monte Lindsley's willow furniture and decor. Before entering the festival under a massive woven willow arch we were greeted by a life size sculpted willow lion, welcoming us to this one of a kind festival, the willow constructed ticket booths were creatively interwoven into this graceful, lively entrance. After entering, We were amazed to see the Marymoor Park grounds adorned with willow work everywhere! It was incredible, all of the information booths, seating, arches, fence and artwork this one man created was here for all to enjoy. We will come every year to listen to world music and see the woodworks in there abundance."

"Following the 911 attacks of 2001 I was asked by the Seattle Mayor's Office to produce a program for the people of this region that would bring people together in a reassuring fashion. In planning the program we first decided to build an environment that could accommodate and support the many different emotional states of our citizens. We began to think about what could contribute to this environment. Someone on our team suggested that I contact Monte Lindsley about his art pieces made of willow. This was my introduction to both the willow art and Monte. Both would become crucial to the success of our event. The organic nature of the beautifully crafted pieces became the foundation of our setting. Monte's unending commitment and flexibility proved remarkable as he met unreasonable deadlines with grace and good spirit. The event turned into the Seattle Center Flower Vigil. Over the course of 4 days more than one million flowers were laid in the International Fountain. Individuals built thousands of personal tributes and the level of human kindness displayed over those four days was stunning. As we planned the event and we described the activities to Monte who recommended art pieces that added both beauty and function. From fencing units to keep people back from the water that became wreaths of flowers, to archways and gazebos, each piece made the environment and the event richer and more complete. I will always be thankful to Monte and his family for the perfect integration of their art and our event and their commitment to make it happen smoothly and thoughtfully."
